30in. black powder only damascus barrels, the rib engraved 'WILLIAM GRIFFITHS. MANCHESTER.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and full choke, right wall thickness at 19, W. Phillipson & W. Baker patent ejectors, patent No. 8323 of 1889, treble-grip action with carved serpentine fences, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, fine acanthus scroll engraving, the triggerguard engraved with a hound on point, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/4in. stock with chequered side panels, including engraved steel heel and toe plates, bolstered fore-end with horn finial, weight 6lb 5oz.
